What natural means here

On this page, natural is a description of the ingredient list and nothing more. We make the treats ourselves in Malvern, Pennsylvania, and we freeze dry or air dry them in small batches. Most are single ingredient: one protein, and nothing else on the ingredient line. A few use a base such as Greek yogurt or cheddar cheese, and those are labeled that way.

This page makes no promise about what any treat does for a dog. You get ingredient lines, and where we know where something comes from, we say so in plain words:

• Beef heart and beef liver come from a Pennsylvania farm.
• Beef tripe is green, unbleached tripe from a farm in the United States.
• Cheddar comes from New York State.
• Fish, shellfish, frog legs and quail eggs are imported, and we make them into treats in Malvern, Pennsylvania.
• Salmon is wild-caught salmon, and some bags are imported wild-caught salmon.

Beef heart, salmon, minnows, sardines, anchovies and scallops are raw before they are freeze dried. Mussels are blanched first. Quail eggs are raw and shell on. Not every treat appears in every box, so this is the range of what we make and not a promise about one month.

What ships each month

The box has a fresh theme every month, with a different lineup inside. Favorites return, but the assortment changes from month to month. December is a Christmas box and February is a Valentine's Day box.

What goes in, how many, and the bag sizes change from month to month, and any photo you see of a box is an example. A box may hold a new or unreleased treat, with no promise of any particular one. Each treat inside is for intermittent or supplemental feeding, not a complete and balanced diet. Feeding advice is not something we give; for a special diet, ask your veterinarian.

Choosing proteins to leave out

When you order, use the note under the Dog and Cat choice to list proteins to skip, or email support@sniffandshift.com any time to change that list. Every protein skip can be honored, including the Greek yogurt and cheddar treats.

One box covers one pet, and every pet in a household receives an identical lineup. If two dogs have different lists, order two boxes, or put every requirement in the order notes and we will do our best. We do not promise a split box. Looking for a protein your dog has not had? The terms in plain words

The price is $1 first box, then $50 every month, plus taxes, and the subscription renews automatically until you cancel. The $1 first box needs three paid shipments: the first box plus two at $50. Every box ships free, and extra treats added through the subscription portal save 15 percent and ship free with the box.
