A Christmas present for the dog on your list
Updated
A dog Christmas gift box from us is a monthly treat subscription you start for someone else: pick dog or cat, send it to their US address, and a new box of our treats arrives each month. It is a subscription, so the terms appear beside the button before you start.
Who is a treat box a good Christmas present for?
Anyone with a dog and an address in the United States. The box can ship to a US address other than yours, so it reaches a relative who lives far away, a neighbor down the street, or the friend whose dog you walk on weekends. You do not have to coordinate a delivery to your own door and then wrap and mail it yourself.
It suits the person who already has everything for the dog. Another toy or sweater ends up in a pile, while a box of treats gets handed out one piece at a time. The same goes for a household with a cat, since the box comes in a cat version too. Each pet gets its own box.
Everything in the box is ours: single ingredient treats, freeze dried or air dried in small batches in Malvern, Pennsylvania, some of them on a Greek yogurt or cheddar cheese base. They are for intermittent or supplemental feeding, which means they sit beside regular meals rather than replacing them. If you are still deciding between ideas, our list of gifts for dog lovers covers the wider field, and the dog gift box page covers this one.
What should you find out before you order?
Three things, and none of them is hard to ask.
First, the address. Get the full US street address of the person receiving it, not just the town. Second, dog or cat, because the box has two choices and you pick one when you order. Third, any proteins their pet skips. You name those when you order, and they can be changed later by contacting us.
If you do not know the proteins, ask quietly. A text to the owner works, or a question to someone close to them if you want the gift to stay a surprise. Skip the guessing. We do not give feeding advice, and the owner knows best what their own pet eats. When the answer is "nothing to skip," that is a fine answer too.
How do you let them know a box is coming?
Tell them yourself. A card in the mail, a message in the family chat or a few words at the holiday table all work. The box is shipped to their address, so it helps if they know to watch for it and are not left wondering who sent a parcel of dog treats.
Do not count on a printed gift message in the box, and do not plan around one. Put your note in your own card instead, and say what it is: a box that comes every month, not a single package. Someone who expects one parcel and gets a second a month later should hear that from you first.
What arrives changes from month to month, and the box page photos are only examples. Seeing the Modified Monthly page ahead of time gives you something to point them to.
What happens after the holidays?
The box keeps coming, because it is a subscription. Each month brings a new theme and a new lineup. Favorites return, but the assortment changes, so the second box is not a repeat of the first.
The terms beside every start button cover how renewals work, so read them before you order, not after. They are the place to look, not this page. Talk with the person you are sending it to about what you both expect once December is over, because a gift that keeps going is a different thing from one that is done in an afternoon.
Our guides hub has more plain how-tos for the dog household, from skip lists to serving, and the box page carries the rest of the details.
Questions
Can I send a dog treat box to someone for Christmas?
Yes. Pick Dog when you order and send it to their US address. The box can ship to an address other than yours, so you do not need to have it come to you first. Read the subscription terms beside the start button before you begin.
Is the December box a holiday theme?
Each month has a new theme and a new lineup. We do not promise what December's will be, so do not plan the present around a holiday theme. What you can count on is that it will be a fresh lineup of our treats.
Can the Christmas gift be for a cat?
Yes. The box has a Cat choice as well as a Dog choice, and you pick one when you order. Each pet gets its own box. If the household has both, send one of each and tell them which is for whom.
What if their dog skips a protein?
Tell us when you order, and name the pet and the protein to leave out. It can be changed later by contacting us, so a missed detail is not final. If you do not know, ask the owner before you order.
Does the gift keep going after Christmas?
It does. This is a subscription, and the next box follows the first. The terms beside the start button explain renewals. Read them first and talk it over with the person receiving it, so nobody is surprised by the second box.
Can I send it to someone in another state?
Yes, to any US address. You do not need to live near them or in the same state. Enter their address as the shipping address, pick dog or cat, and check the terms beside the button before you start the subscription.
