What is in the box
Modified Monthly is a treat box built around single ingredient treats that we freeze-dry or air-dry in small batches in our Malvern, Pennsylvania kitchen. Each month brings a new theme and a new lineup, so even a well treated co-pilot finds something new. Cat boxes draw from our fish, shellfish and egg treats; dog boxes draw from the full range.
A few treats use a non-meat base, such as Greek yogurt or cheddar. Contents, varieties, quantities and bag sizes vary from month to month, and the photos are examples. New or unreleased treats may show up, though we do not promise them.
All treats are for intermittent or supplemental feeding, not a complete and balanced diet. We do not give feeding advice, so ask your veterinarian about special diets.

Name the proteins to skip
- Tell us what your pet loves and what to leave out, in the note at checkout.
- Our Exotic Collection includes novel proteins, which some owners look for when they skip the usual ones.
- One box per pet. Two dogs means two boxes, and pets in the same home get the same lineup.
Shipping, add-ons and gifts
The first box ships in 1 to 3 business days, and every box ships free. Add-ons you choose through the subscription portal save 15% and ship free with your box. A box can go to a different address than the one on the order, so it works as a gift. Read the shipping policy for the details.
You can skip or pause a month through your account or by contacting us. A skipped month does not count toward the three shipment minimum. Want the long version? How it works walks through the first three shipments.

First box $1. Then $50 every month, plus taxes, renewing until you cancel. The $1 offer needs three paid shipments, or a one-time $49 early cancellation charge to leave sooner. Cancel free before the first box is fulfilled. After that, read the subscription terms.
